This weeks Hot Rod Magazine Live brings you the stars of the
SkillsUSA. First Eddie Parsons, a rising senior at Northeast High School in
Pasadena, MD and Center for Applied Technolgy and won the Maryland state gold
medal in automotive refinishing technology. Then Kieron Kohlman a rising junior
at Ferris State majoring in automotive service and engineering and will represent
the United States in the World Skills Championship in Germany in 2013. After
that Stacy Bartnik, VP of field services from CARSTAR who was honored in 2004
by Akzo Nobel as one of the Most Influential Woman in the Collision Industry
will give her take on the importance of todays youth getting a education in
these important fields. Tim Lawrence, executive director of SkillsUSA who was
named the National Trade and Industrial Education Teacher of the Year in 1983
will then give his insights into why SkillUSA is forming the future of so many
youths in todays automotive workplace. Finally, Gregory Rintala from Snap-On
will share why the supporters of SkillsUSA are as important as the kids
themselves with technical support and access to the right tools for the job.

In the Circle Track Hour Dennis is joined by two dynamic
future stars. First a thirteen-year-old driver from Madras Oregon who has been
competing since he was eight years old and is now taking the jump to V8
modified Cory Hazen. Then another product of the Pacific Northwest Billy
Workman Jr. and his new developmental driver testing for Level 1 Motorsports and
has been approved to compete on one-mile and smaller tracks by ARCA on his way
to qualify for his NASCAR license. And finally Dennis gives his take the 2012
Subaru Impreza Sport and how much fun you can have playing in the dirt with
this spunky little hatchback.
